SADIY has invited JWP Training to run a First Aid course at Sheffield Iyengar Yoga Centre in the Autumn 2026.
This course leads to the delivery of the Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work certificate, which is valid for 3 years. This qualification is a requirement for all IY(UK) teachers.
This one-day event is open to all SADIY members and non-members.
* Date: Saturday 5 September 2026
* Time: 10.30am to 4.30pm (including a short break for lunch)
* Fees: £80 (or £75 for SADIY members)

Teachers & Trainees
Professional Development Days are now called Exchange of Learning (EL) days . The event provides 5 hours of learning that count towards the 10 hours specialised training requirement for the 2026-27 teacher renewal, but the session is not assessed in any way. The event offers a great learning opportunity for all teachers and trainee teachers to share knowledge and experience in a friendly environment.
The SADIY Exchange of Learning Day for IY (UK) teachers and trainees in 2026-27 will be led by Frances Homewood.
Date: Sunday 31 January 2027
Time: 10.00 am to 4.00 pm (including a short break for lunch)
Fees: £40 or £35 for SADIY members
Address: Sheffield Iyengar Yoga Centre, 270 Burgoyne Road, Sheffield, S6 3QF.
The theme is Prānāyāma.
The day is an in-person event this year.
The event is open to all IY(UK) teachers or trainee registered members. If there are places available, retired or ex-Iyengar teachers who are still IY(UK) members and who do not teach other styles of yoga will also be welcome.
